Bag of fresh green beans from produce section of grocery store, cleaned by cutting off ends
Medium onion, diced
3 gloves garlic, small dice
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp butter
In a large skillet, add the EVOO and the butter.
Once the butter melts, add in your green beans and toss to coat with the oil and butter.
Saute about 20 minutes, stirring frequently so they don’t burn.
Add the onion, onion powder and black pepper and saute another 5 minutes or so.
Add the diced garlic and saute another minute. If they are still hard, add a 1/4 cup water, cover and steam cook an additional 10 minutes. Add more seasonings if needed.
