I love to use homemade bread crumbs. I think the food that is breaded with it tastes so fresh. I save the ends of bread and bread nobody eats or will be turning moldy shortly. These include hamburger buns, hot dog buns, hoagie/sub buns, half a loaf of bakery bread such as Italian or French, buns with seeds, potato buns, wheat buns and the like. I just keep them in the refrigerator in its original packaging and put them in a grocery bag. Then I take the refrigerated bread and throw it in my Ninja Master Prep Professional System. Preheat oven to 375°.

I grind enough bread to fit on two 10 X 15 sheet pans.

With my oven, I can fit both pans side by side on one rack. If you cannot do this, then put one up, one down but you will have to check them and switch them. It only takes about 5-8 minutes total to get it lightly browned. Check them often. When they are at this point, set on stove top or counter to cool, about 10 minutes.

When cooled, crumbled with your hands and place in a gallon baggie using a ladle or other large utensil. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use!
